Kare the Hellhound

Name: Kare (like Care)

Species: Subteranial Hellhound

Pronouns: He/Him

Appearance: Kare is 6”4 with dark lilac eyes, one was injured and gouged out by past abuse and he has a large scar on the corner of his lip. Kare has long hair that’s a mixture of several different colors, parts are blond brown, others are silver, and the other is grey. Kare in his hound form looks like a maned wolf with large splayed paws and thick fur covering his entire body. Unlike the picture, he doesn’t have that large of bottom canines and instead has normal sized canine teeth for his large size. Kare’s fur is heavily insulated so hes the perfect cuddle partner for someone who gets cold quickly, in his human form he likes to layer up with sweaters and gloves only for half the reason that he cant handle cold well without fur, the other part is that Kare has gruesome scars all over his body that hes not comfortable with people seeing right off the bat.

Personality: Kare is a compassionate spirit but incredibly timid, while he has no issue protecting his companion if they’re not in active danger he has a bad habit of clinging to his companion and whimpering is a verbal fight happens. Other times its almost like a switch is flipped if hes in his hound form and he turns into a snarling mess at whoever dares to make his companion feel terrible. Kare isn’t sure how to socialize like people tend to do, hes not great at inserting himself into conversations with new people but when hes comfortable he has a much easier time showing off ideas that he likes and getting opinions about them.

History: Like crude, Kare was also in a hellhound fighting rink where he was forced day after day to fight other hound with no break or medical care in between, they continuously went day after day with no medical care, barely any food and fluids, only able to eat the other hellhound in the ring as them. Kare was there for a few years, and soon became more of an animal than anything else. But once Crude was brought into the sanctuary we were informed of the abuse and raided the place, taking in and healing the hellhounds in need, some went home and others had no home to return to. Kare chose his name while being healed, and is now wanting more out of life.

Likes: sweet snacks, vanilla candles and other soft smells like cinnamon buns, colorful things (and pastels)

Dislikes: being yelled at, loud noises, the cold

Species: Subteranial Hellhounds are a species of hellhounds that often times live deep in dark and icy caves, their toes are forked similar to a goats hooves to allow them to climb ledges with ease and their coats are very dense and coarse to trap in the body heat. They are heavy hounds that hunt solitary but live in packs, Some of these species are known to perish under large boulders, but their body is designed with heavy muscles that make it so their ability to withstand crush and falls are far better than other species of spirits native to the area.
