Witchcraft 101: ✨Charming an Item✨
For all witches protection is a must, but, how do you arm yourself with day to day protections without filling your person with a bunch of mismatched clunky wards?
Easy, charm your day to day items, and you can do this easily. If you're a person that doesnt like big clunky jewelry? Charm your glasses with a variety of things even contacts can be charmed, well more specifically the container you keep them in or the saline you pour over them. You can charge anything under the moon, even an enclosed container of saline.
What you want to do is sort out your favorite items and pick through them, have at least one trinkets you wear daily for protection and the others you can charm with other uses. Some examples are, beauty (glamour), memory, communication, seeing past the veil, even hearing past the veil.
With what you want to enchant for in mind you can choose your items easier, looking for something that correlates to the charm. Earrings or hearing aids for hearing past the veil, glasses or contacts for seeing past the veil, perfume for glamour, necklace for protection.
Now that the gist of it is taken care of lets look into HOW to charm an item with these.
Get a bowl or plate and later the bottom with salt, you can smoke cleanse the plate and the item with an incense of your choosing, place a lemon slice in the middle with a candle on top, with the item you want to charm in front of it, between you and the candle. Place correlating herbs you have in your pantry around the item and the candle, write what you want the item to be charmed with on a bay leaf (or draw a sigil, your choice) and burn it on the candle, with that soot you’ll want to sprinkle it over the jewelry.
Now you can clean it, wear it, as you please. Remember its best to revamp these charms once a month.
**NOTE: bay leaf smoke is toxic to cats!
