Witchcraft 101: ✨Wards✨
Wards are magic put up to protect a space or a person, these walls of magic are meant to keep malicious things out and unable to scratch the surface of the ward. There are many ways you can create a warn and maintain one, like a regular stone brick wall these wards do need to be redone or fixed whenever it feels unsafe to keep going. With a strong and trusted ward you’ll be able to make it so most malicious spirits won’t even consider bothering you, and even hexes or curses will be deterred by the amount of protection.
An easy folklore for protection is it’s said if a plant died while you were taking care of it and not neglecting it that it died while taking a curse or a hex for you.
In that manner, plants do have the ability to be wards themselves for physical properties, planting them with the intent that they will guard your house, and even choosing plants that have more protective qualities like spider plants that will circulate air and cleanse spaces, aloe Vera who circulate oxygen at night, rosemary or other herbs or even if you’re not a plant person you can grow mint! Of course, taking care of these plants meticulously and checking up on them is key to a happy relationship with them and the ability to keep your ward strong and solid.
Another good physical ward is taking train track nails and hammering them into the corners of your property, with this you’ll have a small ward that’s less likely to just fail on you based on your lack of attentiveness, though it isn’t easy to just leave it alone due to children in the neighborhood possibly coming by to take one of your railroad nails out of curiosity, thus tumbling your ward.
And lastly what I like to do, and you’re welcome to pair it with the others (I pair mine with plants) or change prices of it to what you see fit.
I sit with my back against the wall, as to not fall asleep while in the middle of warding, closing my eyes I picture the outside of my house and I try and pick out every detail I can focus on. Then, golden liquid will fall over my house, slowly coating the whole building until it reaches the bottom. And as the golden light poops into the grass I push the light off the house cleansing the area around my home as well.
